Summary

Inmarsat is global mobile satellite communications providers. The Inmarsat I-4 satellites, is the largest commercial communications spacecraft, form the backbone of Inmarsat's Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) services. BGAN: Global Broadband service
BGAN delivers broadband access across most of the world’s land mass. Guaranteed data rates on demand, with a choice of data rates, are available. BGAN supports the latest IP services, as well as traditional circuit-switched voice and data. BGAN supports legacy applications providing a smooth upgrade path to IP and integrating seamlessly with corporate networks.

BGAN terminals are portable, compact and lightweight and can be carried as easily as a laptop. Terminals can be connected quickly and easily to multiple laptops via wired or wireless connections, including Bluetooth or WiFi, depending on the terminal. Terminals can be used indoors and outdoors and are robust enough to withstand challenging environments and extremes of temperature .

Using a single, highly compact, lightweight BGAN terminal, can deliver even higher quality video back to the studio when broadcasting remotely. There is no need for an external antenna or any additional hardware - just use your existing Hughes HNS 9201 or Thrane & Thrane EXPLORER™ 700 terminal.
